Where is my money held?

All your money is held in your name at Scottrade as the custodian of your account assets. Your money is as near as your local Scottrade office.
Scottrade provides excellent customer service, low transaction costs, and access to all U.S. listed stocks, Exchange Traded Funds and thousands of mutual funds.

Can I watch what Global Guru Capital is doing with my money?

Your accounts are at Scottrade in your name. That means you have direct access to your account at all time and can monitor your account in real time on Scottrade’s web site.

What type of communication do I receive as a client?

Global Guru Capital’s clients receive our monthly newsletter specifically designed for our managed clients. You may also choose to receive paper statements directly from Scottrade.

What is “Limited Power of Attorney?

This allows us the ability to implement our investment plan on your behalf. We have the “power” to place buy and sell orders on your behalf.
The power of attorney gives us an additional window to trade your account on your behalf at Scottrade.

Am I locked into a set period of time as a managed client?

There is no set period of time. Our investment advisory agreement requires 30 day written notice upon cancellation. There is never any cost to cancel.

What is the minimum account size you accept, and the management fees?

$250,000 is our minimum account size. The “Ivy Plus” Investment Program is suitable for both taxable and tax advantaged accounts. The “Global Gains” Investment Program is better suited to tax advantaged accounts, because of its high turnover. Our management fees are set out in our fees section here.

Are there any other fees I will have to pay?

Exchange Traded Funds and mutual funds have their own internal management fees which are a part of their disclosed expenses. These come directly out of the ETFs/mutual funds and are paid by you. Please consult the funds prospectus for additional information on fees.
In addition, Scottrade charges transaction fees when we trade on your behalf. These are also paid by you.
